Bushmills – 2008 Jupille Cask (70cl, 55.1%)

This is a Bushmills from 2008, bottled at cask strength of 55.1% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the distillery in County Antrim, Ireland. The whisky matured for 13 years in different casks. The first ten years were spent in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, in keeping with Bushmills tradition. It was then moved into Jupille casks for a further 36 months. The palate is full-bodied, soft and expressive, with dark forest berries and a spicy undertone that settles smoothly.
