Bushmills 21 Year Old is a triple-distilled single malt made at Bushmills in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It matured for nineteen years in bourbon and oloroso casks, followed by two years in Madeira casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines salted butter caramel, dark chocolate, honey, soft spice, red fruit and peppermint. The palate is sweet and velvety, with toffee, raisin, almond and vanilla. The finish is long, with woody bitterness, liquorice, coffee and candied orange.
