Bushmills 30 Year Old is an Irish single malt, triple distilled from 100% malted barley. It spent 14 years in bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts, then a further 16 years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez casks. It is bottled at 46% and is non-chill-filtered.
Dark gold in colour, it has a nose of raisins, figs, prunes and dates with treacle toffee, soft clove and sweet spice. The palate is velvety, with dates, raisins and figs followed by praline, orange peel, vanilla and warm pastry. The finish is long, leaving dried fruit and toffee lingering.
