Bushmills – Causeway Collection 2000 Port Cask Finish (70cl, 54.1%)

This is a Bushmills single malt Irish whiskey from the Causeway Collection, distilled in November 2000 and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 54.1%. It is triple distilled and spent 20 years in Portuguese first-fill ruby port casks. It is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring. The Causeway Collection takes its inspiration from the Giant's Causeway, close to the Old Bushmills Distillery. The nose is full of juicy raspberry, plums and dry grapefruit. On the palate, red fruit continues, with strawberry leading alongside caramelised toffee, chilli and allspice. The finish is sweet and spicy, and lingers.
