Christian Drouin Sélection is a Calvados from the Domfront area of Normandy, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl-class 75cl bottle. It is made from both apples and pears.
Unlike much of the Drouin range, it carries the broader Calvados AOC rather than Pays d'Auge, and it is column-distilled in a single pass, giving a lighter, fruit-led spirit.
The nose is apple and pear with honeysuckle, light caramel, vanilla and a little resin. The palate is crisp and creamy, with baking spice, white pepper and a faint floral note. It finishes medium, with clove and a trace of smoke.
