Cadenhead Pulteney 12 Year Old is a single cask Highland single malt, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2018 by WM Cadenhead as part of its Specialists' Choice range. It comes from the Pulteney distillery in Wick and is bottled at a cask strength of 55.1% ABV.
Pulteney is known as The Maritime Malt, and this bottling is made without added colouring or chill filtration.
The nose offers saltiness, citrus and green apple, then honey, soft spice and a little seaweed and iodine. The palate has pear, lemon peel and ripe peach with white pepper and nutmeg, in a full, oily body. The finish is long and warming, with sea notes, light vanilla and oak.
