A 27-year-old blended malt Scotch whisky from Cadenhead's Enigma series. It was distilled in 1997, matured in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled at 51.8% in a 70cl bottle, with 1140 bottles filled.
The nose is intense, with apples, custard, pears, warm pastry, vanilla and lime. The palate has a lively start despite the higher strength, then pastry again with butter, honeycomb, oat biscuits and nutmeg. The finish is fresh, with a hint of mint, ginger and treacle.
