Caffo Vecchia Grappa Barrique (75cl)

Caffo Vecchia Grappa Barrique is made by the Caffo family distillery in Limbadi, Calabria. Grappa is distilled from grape pomace, and this one is aged in small barrique oak barrels, which gives an amber, wood-influenced spirit with a vanilla lead. The barrel ageing softens the raw pomace character into a smoother, oak-integrated grappa. On the nose are vanilla, toasted oak, dried fruit and grape. The palate is smooth and rounded, with caramel, wood spice and pomace fruit, and the finish is warm.
