Caisteal Chamuis 12 Year Old Heavily Peated Blended Malt

Caisteal Chamuis 12 Year Old is a heavily peated blended malt, put together from island single malts. It was blended and bottled by Mossburn Distillers, the owners of Torabhaig distillery. The whisky was matured in first-fill American oak hogsheads, virgin American oak and fresh Oloroso sherry casks of European oak, sent directly from a bodega in Jerez de la Frontera. It is bottled without colouring or chill-filtering. The name comes from the ruined castle on the Sleat peninsula of Skye, also known as Knock Castle or Castle Camus, which was raised in the 13th century on the site of an iron age fort.
