Callington Mill Festive Cask 2025 is a Tasmanian single malt made from whisky selected from sherry and port casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
Callington Mill is a family-owned distillery in Oatlands, built in 2021 on the restored mill site. The Festive Cask brings together Christmas pudding and candied orange peel with toffee, spiced red wine, dark chocolate and espresso.
The nose offers spiced sultanas, marzipan, dried plums and brandy butter. The palate opens with dried fruit before dry, spicy oak and a little bitter tannin. The finish is long and medium dry, ending with aged tobacco and fruitcake.
