This is a Tasmanian single malt from Callington Mill, made from local malt. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The whisky matured in a mix of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, Palo Cortado, Fino, Moscatel, Ruby Port, White Port and Madeira Port casks.
The nose has banoffee pie, Chinese five-spice, dark rum and raisin chocolate and sweet almond, with a touch of dried cherry and blackcurrant. The palate starts earthy, then moves to dark cocoa, coffee and cigar notes with spiced tea cake. The finish is long and smooth, with banana, blackberry, spice and toasted oak.
