Callington Mill Invicta is a Tasmanian single malt, made from locally grown barley and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It matured in ex-port casks from Portugal, including Ruby Port, White Port and Madeira Port casks. The name Invicta means unbeatable in Portuguese.
The nose has toasted oak and a hint of struck match, with caramelised sugar, marshmallow, jam, prunes, apricots, dried figs, coffee and lightly smoked meat. The palate is viscous, with sweet, jammy fruit, oak building mid-palate and dark cocoa. The finish is sweet, fruity and clean, with a mineral note.
