Madeira Nouveau Beginnings is a Tasmanian single malt from Callington Mill, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was aged in Madeira casks.
The nose is nutty and spicy, with roasted chestnuts, cloves and cinnamon, plus grape syrup and dried figs. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with burnt caramel, walnuts and toasted oak, then dried fruit, a slight earthy bitterness, honey and molasses.
The finish is long, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and a touch of warm spice.
