This is a Tasmanian single malt from Callington Mill, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in a selection of Sherry, Tokay and Brandy casks.
The whisky was then moved into three handmade 350 litre clay amphorae and left undisturbed for two years.
The nose is earthy and layered, with sun-warmed soil, dry hay, aged oak, caramelised vanilla, toasted hazelnuts and a hint of strawberry preserve. The palate is silky and structured, with milk chocolate, roasted almonds, dark stone fruits and sweet tobacco. The finish is long, with charred oak, fine spice, dark chocolate and fruitcake.
