This Tasmanian single malt is the first release in the Rare Single Cask series from Callington Mill. It matured in a single former Cognac cask of French Limousin oak and was bottled at cask strength, 66.4%, in an outturn of 996 bottles. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered.
The nose offers ripe stone fruit and dried apricots with warm vanilla and a little nutmeg. The palate is soft, with juicy peach, creamy vanilla and fine spice. The finish lasts, ending on spicy cedar wood and a touch of vanilla.
