Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Moro

A red wine from Sardinia with a deep ruby colour and a Mediterranean character. The nose offers ripe red fruit, sweet spice and an herbal note reminiscent of the scrub. The palate is warm yet balanced, with present tannins and a pleasant freshness. Concentrated fruit is supported by fine, well-integrated tannins and a savoury finish with lingering fruit and spice. It suits rustic dishes, roasts, light game, rich sauces, aged cheeses, tomato and mushroom dishes, grilled food and spicy plates. Serve around 16-18 C, decanting for a short while for greater aromatic openness.
