This is an 11 year old Caol Ila single malt from Islay, bottled by Blind Summit at 52.4% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It was matured in a Pedro Ximenez octave and is one of 140 bottles, with label artwork by Tyrone Stoddart. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered, and was bottled by hand.
The nose is thick with ashy smoke, with Dundee cake, raisin, treacle and toffee apples layered through it. Damp kiln and the smell of a wet bonfire the morning after follow, long and smouldering.
