A 12-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 1988 and finished in sherry wood. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2001 at 40% for its Private Collection, in a 70cl bottle. The release came to 975 bottles.
The sherry finish gives a deep mahogany colour. The whisky is sweet and dry with a sherried character and a noticeable spiciness.
