Caol Ila – 12 Year Old 2013 Sherry Butt #106 Signatory Vintage Plume Collection (70cl, 54.5%)

This is a 12 year old Caol Ila single malt from Islay, distilled in 2013 and matured in a sherry butt. It is bottled at 54.5% in a 70cl bottle by Signatory Vintage, as part of the Plume collection, created in 2017 with La Maison du Whisky for whiskies aged in first-fill sherry casks. Caol Ila was founded on Islay in 1846. Here peat and sherry sit on an equal footing, with earthy, smoky, iodised, fruity, chocolatey and floral character moving between Islay and southern Spain.
