Caol Ila – 12 Year Old 2013 Sherry Butt Signatory Vintage Plume Collection (70cl, 54.5%)

This is a Caol Ila single malt distilled in 2013 and aged 12 years, bottled by Signatory Vintage at 54.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a sherry butt. It belongs to the Plume collection, created in 2017 with La Maison du Whisky for whiskies aged in first-fill sherry casks. Caol Ila was founded in 1846 on the island of Islay, and this bottling sets peat and sherry on an equal footing. Its character runs through earthy, smoky, iodine, fruity, chocolatey and floral notes.
