This is a 12 year old single malt from Caol Ila, the distillery founded in 1846 on the Isle of Islay. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and was matured in bourbon casks.
The whisky is peaty, with a pleasant sweetness running alongside.
It is lightly minty and fresh, with distinct peat, vanilla and a gentle sweetness. The finish is long, again with peat smoke and sweetness.
