A 13-year-old Caol Ila distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice Wood Finished series. It is bottled at 45% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky first matured in bourbon barrels, then received a finish in Sassicaia wine casks. The release is limited to 3550 bottles worldwide.
It is described as rich in fruit, with red berries, dried figs, a little cinnamon and sweet, spicy smoke.
