Caol Ila 13 Year Old is an Islay single malt chosen by Gordon & MacPhail for its Discovery Series, where it represents the Smoky category. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and without added colour.
The nose has apricot, vanilla and light peat smoke, with a savoury note of smoked ham. On the palate, pineapple, banana and kiwi sit alongside spicy malt and a little citrus. The long finish brings campfire smoke and toasted marshmallow.
