Don of Clubs is a 14-year-old Caol Ila single malt, bottled at 56.4% ABV in a 35cl bottle. It is matured in three types of wood.
The whisky spent ten years in a bourbon cask, followed by four years in a rye quarter cask and a half-year finish in a small ice wine cask.
The nose brings honey, smoked bacon, citrus and orange alongside vanilla, ginger and white chocolate. Candied fruit, caramel and gentle peat smoke lead the palate, with cinnamon, cloves and green apple. The finish is long, with sweet oak, sea air and pepper.
