This Caol Ila was distilled in 2007 and matured for 17 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. It was bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of its Cask Strength Collection, and the outturn is 677 bottles.
The nose gives smoked ham, dried fruit and a sweet sherry note. The palate is full, balancing smoke with sweet vanilla, dark chocolate and spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak and maritime notes.
