A cask strength single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, from the 2007 vintage and bottled independently by Signatory. It is bottled at 56.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Caol Ila sits north of Port Askaig on the Sound of Islay, looking across to Jura. The distillery dates from 1846, and its stillhouse was rebuilt in 1974 with six stills. Now owned by Diageo, it is best known as a workhorse producing mainly for blends, in this case Johnnie Walker.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
