This is a 2016 single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, bottled by A. P. Claxton at 55.7% in a 70cl bottle. Caol Ila stands on the Sound of Islay north of Port Askaig, looking across to Jura. It was established in 1846, and its stillhouse was completely rebuilt in 1974 and extended to six stills. Diageo owns the distillery, which produces chiefly for blends such as Johnnie Walker.
