A 2014 Caol Ila single malt from Islay, bottled independently by Murray McDavid at 53.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Caol Ila was founded in 1846 and lies north of Port Askaig, beside the Sound of Islay. Its stillhouse was completely rebuilt in 1974 and now holds six stills. The distillery is owned by Diageo and works mainly for blends, in this case Johnnie Walker.
