The distillery stands on Islay, north of Port Askaig on the Sound of Islay, facing Jura. Founded in 1846, it has had a rebuilt stillhouse with six stills since 1974. Diageo owns it, and most of its output is made for blends, among them Johnnie Walker.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
