A 2012 Caol Ila single malt from Islay, an independent bottling by Gordon & MacPhail at 55.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery sits north of Port Askaig on the Sound of Islay, with a view across to the island of Jura. Built in 1846, it has had a rebuilt stillhouse with six stills since 1974. Diageo owns it today, and most of its spirit goes into blends, in this case Johnnie Walker.
