This is an official Caol Ila Distillers Edition, a single malt from the Islay region of Scotland. The whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
What sets the Distillers Edition apart is its finish in Moscatel casks, added to the smoky, balanced character of the Caol Ila distillery. Much of the distillery's output goes to blenders, which says something about its consistent quality.
