A 9 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 59.7% ABV.
The whisky was distilled on 22 September 2010 and matured in a single refill sherry butt. It was bottled on 19 March 2020, and 625 bottles were filled.
The nose is creamy and medicinal, with sea salt, juicy dark fruits, sticky toffee pudding, vanilla fudge, smoked meats and tobacco. The palate is oily, with sea spray, vanilla caramel, orange peel, salted smoked meats, red fruits and sultanas. The finish brings creme brulee, smoky bacon, toasted nuts and peat.
