An Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 1975 and bottled at 21 years old as part of the Rare Malts Selection. It is a limited edition at natural cask strength, 61.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers smoked apples, cigarette smoke and iodine, and with water turns to wine vinegar, lime juice and damp gravel. The palate is medicinal, with limoncello, lemongrass and strong mints. The finish is very long, on smoky concentrated lemon juice.
