This is a single cask Caol Ila, 26 years old, bottled for the Mackillop's Choice series from a bourbon cask. It was distilled on 22 March 1991 and bottled in September 2017, with an outturn of 205 bottles.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 50.4% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
The nose is delicately smoky, with elegant sweet malt, marine tones and coal fires. On the palate it is round, smooth and creamy, very gently smoky, with a balance of citrus. The finish is long, with hints of smoke and citrus fruit.
