This Islay single malt from Caol Ila was distilled on 15 May 2013 and bottled on 4 August 2022 at nine years old. It matured in a first-fill sherry butt, cask 104, and was bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength Collection at 55%. The 696 bottles are 70cl each.
The nose opens with the oxidative character of the sherry cask before peat arrives. On the palate peat leads, developing pronounced medicinal, meaty, smoky-roasted and rooty qualities over time.
