This is a 9 year old Caol Ila from Islay, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2025 for The Single Malts of Scotland series. It matured in new American oak barrels and was bottled as a small batch from five casks at 48%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
The nose combines peat smoke, sea salt and a fresh sea breeze with fine citrus. On the palate, smoky intensity meets creamy vanilla, citrus and spicy oak. The finish is long, with lingering smoke, salty notes and a peppery edge.
