Caol Ila Moch is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Moch is the Gaelic word for dawn, and the whisky was chosen for its flavour profile, which is lighter and brighter in style.
The nose is fresh and maritime, with gentle peat smoke, lemon zest, sea spray and a little sweetness. On the palate, sweet malt and citrus sit alongside smoky, salty and slightly medicinal notes, with hints of vanilla and spice. The finish is crisp and drying, with delicate peat smoke and citrus lingering.
