Moch is a single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery was pulled down in 1970, apart from its warehouse, and rebuilt over the following years. The new Caol Ila came into use in 1974. It has three wash stills and three spirit stills, heated by steam, and eight larch washbacks. Its water comes from Loch nam Ban, a small loch fed by rainwater.
New spirit matures almost entirely in refill casks, although some new sherry casks also lie in the warehouse.
