Caravedo Pisco Puro Torontel (75cl, 40%)

Caravedo Torontel is a single-varietal Peruvian pisco made entirely from Torontel grapes in the Ica Valley, at Destilería La Caravedo. It is a pisco puro, distilled once in copper falca stills from fully fermented grape juice with no pomace. It is distilled to proof, so no water is added afterwards, and it rests for at least six months with no colour, sugar or wood flavouring added. The nose is bright and floral, with geranium, orange blossom and honeysuckle over ripe peach, papaya and melon. The palate is soft, with pear, peach, violet and a little lemon, and the finish is medium, mellow and floral, without heat.
