A 22-year-old rum from the Caroni distillery in Trinidad, distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2005 by independent bottler Velier. It is labelled HTR, Heavy Trinidad Rum, and was drawn from a stock of 78 casks. The outturn is 20048 bottles. On the nose it offers tar, vanilla, rubber, oak and toffee. The palate brings bold notes of tar and barrel, balanced with hints of raisin and toasted nuances, leading to a lingering, flavour-dense finish.
