Catto's Deluxe 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from James Catto & Co. Ltd., bottled at 43% ABV. The blend has a high malt content, built on unpeated Highland and Speyside malts, among them Balblair, Balmenach, Knockdhu, Pulteney and Speyburn, together with Lowland grain whiskies.
The nose offers honey, vanilla and light citrus zest, with dried fruit, oak, a touch of floral perfume, soft caramel and almond nougat. The palate is smooth, with toffee, malt and baked apple, cinnamon, grassiness and oak tannins. The finish runs medium to long, with pepper, cinnamon, honeyed grain, a faint nutty bitterness and a little smoke.
