Chardonnay Langhe DOC

A Chardonnay from the Langhe hills in Piedmont, made by Oriolo. The temperate climate and calcareous soils give balanced, elegant and fresh structure. Ageing is often partly in steel to preserve freshness, sometimes with a passage in wood for complexity and roundness without losing vibrant acidity. It is straw yellow with an intense aroma of white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, floral notes, citrus and vanilla. On the palate it is harmonious and soft, with a clean finish and good persistence. It suits fish, white meats and fresh cheeses.
