Château d'Yquem 2023 Sauternes (37.5cl)

Château d'Yquem 2023 is a sweet Sauternes in a 37.5cl half bottle, from the only estate awarded Premier Cru Supérieur in the 1855 classification. The estate's expertise dates back to 1593. The vintage followed a tropical spring and a very hot summer broken by rain, with settled weather from late September. Harvesting ran from 14 September to 11 October in successive selective pickings, taking only berries affected by noble rot. After pressing, the wine is aged in new barrels. The nose shows pineapple, guava, mango, confit citrus, beeswax and spice. The palate is full-bodied, dense and concentrated, with lively acidity and a crystalline texture, leading to a very long, refined finish.
