Château Suduiraut 2007 is a sweet white Sauternes from Bordeaux, in a 375ml half bottle. The estate is a Premier Cru Classé in Preignac, and the wine is a blend of 90% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc affected by noble rot.
In 2007 the pickers went through the vineyard five times between 15 September and 30 October, choosing clusters at the height of botrytis.
The nose offers candied apricot, lemon rind, honeysuckle, beeswax and orange blossom, with a little vanilla and yellow peach. The palate is rich and honeyed, with caramel and ripe pineapple held in check by bright acidity. The finish is long, with candied citrus peel, honey and toasted vanilla.
