Chicken Cock Island Rooster Rye (47.5%)

Island Rooster is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Chicken Cock, released as a limited edition with a rum barrel finish. It is made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The whiskey is finished for at least six months in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 95 proof (47.5%) in an apothecary-style embossed bottle with a metal cup cap. The name comes from a trip to the Caribbean, where roosters announce the coming day, and the release opens the brand's Summer of the Rooster programme.
