A 21 year old blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, in a 1 litre Emerald flagon made by Spode. It was created to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Royal Salute itself dates from 1953, when the first bottles were launched at the coronation, and its name refers to the 21 gun salute. The ceramic flagon is wrapped in an emerald velvet opera bag with a tag. Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire are the three colours used to symbolise the Imperial State Crown. The blend's home is said to be the Strathisla distillery.
