Chivas The Century of Malts is a blended malt from Chivas Brothers, released in 1995 as a limited edition at 43% ABV. It brings together whisky from 100 different malt distilleries, among them closed names such as Brora, Glenugie and Glen Mhor. A booklet titled The One Hundred Malts, included with the bottle, details each distillery. The colour is deep golden amber. The nose is complex, with vanilla, honey, green fruits, spice and light smoke, plus apple juice, pear and banana. The palate is smooth, oily and fruity, with citrus, vanilla, cookies and sweet spices. The finish is medium to long, warm and fruity with a touch of spice.
