Cierto Private Collection Añejo Tequila (75cl)

This is an añejo tequila from Cierto, distilled in Amatitán, Jalisco, from organic Blue Weber agave. The same family grows the agave, distils the spirit, ages it and bottles it. It spends 18 months in French Limousin oak casks, which shape its character. The Private Collection range shares one foundation of agave from the Amatitán valley, and the Añejo adds time in oak to it. The flavours centre on smoky oak with vanilla, orange peel, coffee and white pepper, along with subtle chocolate. A lingering note of cooked agave follows.
