Clan Chattan 8 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled by John E. McPherson & Sons in the 1960s or 1970s, at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It may contain malt from the now-lost Glen Albyn distillery, which was under licence to McPherson & Sons after their 1960 merger with Charles Mackinlay & Co. The nose is honeyed malt, dried apricot and light floral tones. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, with toffee, biscuit, orchard fruit, subtle herbal notes and a whisper of smoke. The finish is medium, with sweet malt, vanilla and dry oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
