This is a 20 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Girvan Distillery in the Lowlands, distilled in 1993. It was selected for the Clan Denny collection and bottled by Douglas Laing under its Douglas Hamilton label, in a 70cl bottle. It is a single-cask bottling, matured for two decades in a refill bourbon barrel and bottled at 56.7% ABV. The nose has vanilla fudge, custard, toffee and light cereal grain, with a little dried fruit and oak. The palate brings honey, butterscotch and vanilla cream, with gentle pepper and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, caramelised sugar and a touch of candied citrus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
